Day 2

Finding the Rhythm

Day two of Holiday Club and we’re really finding our rhythm! Today, more kids joined us, some bringing friends along, which was amazing. I’m truly grateful that God is drawing all these children and stirring their hearts to know Him. We’re also thankful that, despite the chaos surrounding the protests against immigrants, God protected us and allowed us to continue sharing His good news with these kids.

Today, I had the incredible privilege of sharing a Bible story with the children. It was amazing to see how quickly they understood not only the memory verses but also the powerful meaning behind the stories. The theme was about how we have a real enemy and how, when we choose to follow God, sometimes people try to hurt us or say mean things. I’m thankful for sharing this because it keeps the gospel authentic and straightforward—truth doesn’t need to be watered down; it’s powerful just as it is. We can plant seeds without trickery.

It was also so much fun to dive into the culture, sing their songs, and chant along. Seeing how deeply connected they are to the world around them was humbling and eye-opening. It reminded me of how different their upbringing is from ours. This experience encourages us to disconnect from our phones, focus on the amazing things God has created, and enjoy His gifts.

Please pray that these Bible stories and verses penetrate their hearts and go beyond just surface level. Pray they carry what they’ve learned into their lives, sharing with friends and family, so the gospel continues spreading. Keep praying for our protection, that the Spirit of God speaks through us, and that we leave here changed, just as we arrived—more inspired and committed.
