We have seen two kinds of responses to Jesus’s proclamation of the Kingdom of God. While some responded to His call to repent and believe, many opposed Him in various ways. We will see the reason for these two radically different responses in this study of the parable of the soils in Mark 4:1-20 which illustrates the importance of listening. We hear the story, but do we really hear the message? We hear the story with our ears, but do we hear it within our heart?
